I started my career first in social services. From working UCP as a residential aide to working with AHRC as a Senior case manager, I knew I wanted to work in any profession that was able to give back in some kind of way. While going to school, I ran into my first opportunity working in home care. Since then, home care has grabbed me in her grips and has not let me go. I started out as a HHA Coordinator, to HHA/PCA Supervisor, to CD-PAP supervisor, to Director of Coordination for a Westchester office to Director of Coordination for both CD-PAP and HHA patients. Being a leader has taught me that leading a team does not only consist of delegating work but also showing by example, jumping in with your team and understanding that all hands on deck means all hands on deck. I look forward to growing my work experience to not only become a stronger leader but to also grow my position within home care and or any other position that will have me continue to do what I believe I was born to do which is give back to the community in anyway that I can.
