The Read to Lead After School Academy provides youth with a safe and nurturing environment after school where they can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.Caminos Program: This federally funded initiative managed by The Bethlehem Center, provides post-release services and home studies for children who enter the United States without a guardian, commonly referred to as recently migrated youth. Funded by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), this program helps fulfill our mission to build lasting relationships one family at a time.Farm at The Beth: Over the past three years, our community-supported farm has produced thousands of pounds of produce. What started as a handful of raised beds has expanded into an operation with over 20,000 square feet of growing space, thanks to the efforts of community members, partners, and volunteers. With the guidance of City Farms Grower Coalition, we have upgraded our systems to include a hoop house, rainwater catchment, and pollinator plants.

Responsible for implementation of special projects and school turnaround initiatives in five of the lowest performing schools in Hamilton County. Responsible for organizing and synchronizing the activities and daily processes of various functions of the Office of Innovation and iZone schools including: building and maintaining iZone infrastructure, data collection and dissemination, coordinating school-based initiatives with community partners, overseeing project-performance monitoring, recruitment and retention of iZone Teachers and Staff. Additional duties include:Develop, streamline, implement, and sustain best practices across iZone schools that drive efficiency. Function as main liaison to vendors, contractors, technical consultants, and other service providers.Create, implement, and streamline processes related to purchasing, work orders, inventory, registration, student relations and other administrative functions.Developed systems that significantly improved productivity and efficiency of the innovation zone office.Assist in coordinating and managing project tasks to ensure project quality delivery.Perform additional related duties as directed by the Director of the Innovation Zone.

As the (2010-2012) Summer Resident Director for the UTC Upward Bound Program I responsible for developing, implementing and supervising all residential activities of the Upward Bound Program.Duties and Responsibilities: Planning and implementation of the UB summer residential components recreation, social and cultural activities. Plans, implements and supervises night and weekend activities, including overnight trips. Maintained accurate records concerning program activities and student contacts using computerized databases and student folders. Developed publicity materials for the Upward Bound program including brochures, calendars, videos, and newsletters. Assisted in the collection of data for evaluations and reports for the University and the U.S. Department of Education. Conducted twice weekly staff meetings with summer residence hall staff. Assisted with the completion of college admission and financial aid forms for Upward Bound students.As a Tutor/Counselor I supervised students in dorms. Ensuring safety of the students while on campus, in the dorms and on field trips. also performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned to ensure a effective smooth running program.

I had the opportunity to experience leadership roles in the Medical Center around Physician Relationship Management, Hospital Administration, and Human Resources. this internship focused on key activities that supported the strategic planning process and business development for Methodist University Hospital. I assisted in the research, development and presentation of a New Leader On-Boarding program with Methodist University Hospital as well as worked with HR staff to plan, organize, evaluate and facilitate the services related to Marketing and Public Relations to ensure that efficient and effective programs are administered to key stakeholders.
