(RTEA) provided construction management support services on this emergency SR-91 Refresh Improvements Project. In phase I, Regina Talamantez, served as Resident Engineer for the PCM team. This involved stabilizing settlement of MSE walls on the SR-91 Freeway and Main Street in Corona, CA. Three locations were identified as areas that needed to be grout injected to stop the settlement. Phase I – Soil Improvements were made with grout injection to stabilize settlement in severe settlement areas on SR-91/Main Street Interchange. Phase II – Resurfacing pavement on the freeway with barrier rail replacements, fiber optic line replacement, sound wall construction and replacement of JPCP panels and structure approach slabs on bridges. Project OverviewThis was an emergency repair project that was required from the design builder on the SR-91 Design Build. Parsons asked RTEA to provide a resident engineer and inspector for MOT on Phase I and provide Assistant RE’s for civil, electrical, MOT, Assistant Structure Rep and Document Control on Phase II. Nightwork and verification of traffic control, restriping, barrier rail replacement, sound wall reconstruction and paving was in accordance with the approved plans and specifications.
