As a digital business developer at Gammelbys, my work was about ensuring that your digital presence was spot on for your target groups. Customers looking for new products and services start by looking in one place: online. That's why you probably already spend a lot of resources on being visible online - but you've might also figured out that it's not enough. More is needed in order for you to really gain speed and volume in building up new customers and revenue.Gammelby's version of digital business development is, in short, about how you can work proactively and structured to reach new customer groups and retain and grow existing customers online - or, as we usually say: how you get into digital gear and get started in the sale online!How do you connect your online marketing activities with your sales efforts in a way where you have an overview, coherence and progress? How and how much should you digitize your sales efforts, so that you use your sales resources as best as possible? How do you process and mature your leads - and avoid losing leads - during the sales process?I was in charge of Gammelby's digital marketing and sales, with responsibility for delivering business. So I had my hand on the stove myself when I investigated, tested and optimized new systems and approaches on the tool side, to find out how they could best be used to create business. These can be mentioned interchangeably: marketing automation tools such as Sharpspring and Active Campaign, digital target group selection with software robots, development and optimization of advertising strategies across SoMe platforms, use of webinar platforms for lead generation, extraction and presentation of data sets in data boxes during campaign execution, data-driven campaign optimization and evaluation, connection to CRM systems and sales follow-up.

After graduating from the Danish School of Media and Journalism I was offered a position at Gammelbys as a communications consultant.I mostly work with communication on digital platforms, but the problems I solve for our clients can be anything from branding strategies to content creation. Together with a colleague I'm in charge of evolving and managing our internship program.

After being an intern at Gammelbys, I was hired as a junior consultant. Being a junior consultant has been an important step towards teaching me what it means to be a project manager. In my new role I kept the diversity within the type of assignments that I got in my internship, being both able to work on graphical projects with our designers as well as our marketing automation specialists on rethinking customer flows and content creation. In addition, I have also, together with a colleague, been given the responsibility of our team of interns. As an internship coordinator, I have really learned the value of teaching and giving away knowledge. This has also strengthened my ability to deliver good and detailed briefs for my colleagues.

As an intern at Gammelbys, I got involved in several customer projects. My assignments varied from day to day, and I was introduced to everything from copywriting, graphic work, video and photography to customer management and the preparation of major strategic projects. I also got to experience the work of a project manager, as I worked with our customer Kolossal, a street-art bureau. Here I for example helped with the event "Aarhus Street Art Festival" with everything from PR to photography. Gammelbys was a wonderful internship that, in addition to giving me professional skills, also taught me what good colleagues should look like and what it means to be part of an organisation where a busy schedule isn't allowed to outcompete humanity.

As a regional communications trainee at the danish Trade Council, I have had the pleasure of working within a team of highly specified people. During my time at the Embassy, I developed and executed a number of communication projects within the different focus sectors, including energy & environment, green technologies, fintech and health. As an trainee I worked with social media, developing the regional channels on both a strategical level and managing them on a daily basis. I created content in various forms (e.g. the articles linked underneath for the MFA magasin called Indsigter) and worked on partnerships with e.g. Business France. I began the work of creating a strategic communication plan for the "Green Team" at the Embassy in Paris, creating a common line for branding and communication across departments. Furthermore I arranged and hosted webinars during and after the health crisis across the region due to COVID-19. Staying in Paris was an experience for life. Both before, during and after France chose to lock down the city due to COVID-19. Besides it letting me test myself on a personal level, it also made me aware of how adaptable I can be, if necessary. Furthermore it made it clear that while I work great with colleagues around me, I also have the self discipline to work remotely over a longer period.
