Scada Engineer
Current• Responsible for the day-to-day SCADA Scan System Real-Time Database build and maintenance of Energy Networks RTS Central Systems within the relevant geographical area and ensuring the operational integrity, reliable performance, and high availability through highly accurate data architecture construction within this business critical 24/7 service.• Liaison with Energy Networks’ internal ‘customers’ in relation to timely and accurate data gathering.• Liaison with SCADA Support Engineers in relation to new construction projects and substation refurbishments on the Transmission and Distribution networks.• Liaison with the NCP team in relation to new construction projects and substation refurbishments on the Secondary Distribution network.• Interface with the Senior System Cartographer/QA to ensure seamless updating of the Master Central Systems diagrams and database.• Participate in validations of tele controllable sites except for controls (indication, alarms and analogues only) due to authorisation restrictions.• Cover all Cartography database issues and queries.• Ensure timely and successful resolution of SCADA Scan System faults.
