After teaching for seven years, I realized my favorite part was meeting individual students at their present skill level, helping them grow beyond what they believed they were capable of. My approach to tutoring is simple. We talk about math. I don’t just give problems for students to do, nor do I just lecture. In my experience, students who have worked with me have seen improvement in classroom performance, test scores, and also confidence in themselves to understand math at a deeper level.
