In addition to the responsibilities of a barista (completing transactions, making the products, and cleaning), I also was in charge of the overall running of the store. My responsibilities included: opening and closing the store at appropriate hours, handling the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, receiving shipments and updating inventory on a weekly basis, delegating tasks and overseeing each task be completed smoothly and efficiently, and taking action at any unexpected situation. I also took two courses through ServSafe and was the certified manager in food safety for the store.

I was responsible for cleaning during the shifts as well as for opening and closing. I also helped prep for events, which included putting together large bulk orders and also pre-baking some dessert items.
