Role Summary: Provided leadership and oversight for high quality implementation of all CRS programs in Herat as per the organization strategy and donor agreements. Closely monitored staff safety and security management, represented at all donor level, coordinating body and government departments. Worked with a dynamic team of local and international CRS staff who are responsible for efficiency and accountability of the programs and general management along with overseeing the Herat office.

• Provided programme guidance in setting up logistics systems for disbursal of food aids to livelihood sector in Western part of India covering 4 states.• Conducted internal program audits for food security and humanitarian assistance programmes funded by USAID, where adherence to compliances audit A-133 and other partner compliance guidelines were monitored. • Closely monitored loss of commodities, reported and accounted for the same.

Worked with a community of underprivileged children managing adoption procedures, family counselling and enabling educational support for eligible children through sponsorship schemes / scholarship programmes. Worked on raising awareness regarding adoption issues with Govt. officials and NGOs. Ensured children get opportunities for higher studies arranged sponsorship scheme for eligible students, carried out family counselling, followed up with children on education progress, connected kids with sponsors.

• Worked as a part-time resource on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs, to assist in conduct of a study on conditions of street children and victims of trafficking.• Engaged with street children, city police officers, community leaders and government & non-government organizations working for street children in Mumbai, for conducting interviews and collection of data• Received a Certificate of appreciation from ICFS.
