Aurora Holiday is a local family-owned tour operator in Utsjoki, the northernmost municipality in Finnish Lapland. As a tour guide, I am in charge of various activities, from airport transfers to snowshoeing in the wilderness and northern lights chasing, while also taking pictures of the guests.

In my role as an Expedition Guide for Secret Atlas, I lead and manage expedition cruises to the breathtaking polar regions. As an advocate and passionate explorer of these unique ecosystems, my role is both exciting and deeply fulfilling.Key responsibilities include:- Educating travelers about the local environment, wildlife, and importance of conservation.- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all expedition members- Offering hands-on nature photography experience, providing tips and techniques for capturing the majestic beauty of these regions.- Utilizing my multilingual skills to communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests from around the world.I am proud to be part of a company like Secret Atlas that values environmental preservation, education, and sharing the splendors of the polar regions with others. I was responsible for several multidisciplinary projects in the fields of port planning and maritime engineering, including container, LNG, dry bulk and Ro-Ro terminals. The development of transport corridors, logistics zones and dry ports were also part of my portfolio. The activities that are carried out include among others:- masterplan- strategy advice and market studies- preliminary and detail design of port infrastructureIn addition to managing these projects, I was also in charge of technical/commercial bids for clients worldwide.

Port Planner and Project Manager for the design of several ports and waterways projects worldwide.Developed the concept for a large container terminal combined with an oil terminal and refinery in the region of Nador, Morocco (the first studies for the mega project Nador West Med). Coordinated all the subsequent technical studies (nautical, mooring, sedimentation processes, hydrodynamics, etc.)Also in charge of the feasibility studies for the extension of the all waterways of Wallonie region in Belgium to accommodate larger classes of inland vessels.Other projects included an offshore supply base in Iran, a major multimodal port in Venezuela, a bulk terminal in Algeria, a transport study in Suriname, etc.

Internship in the quality control department on the construction site of the "Groene Hart Tunnel".The "Groene Hart Tunnel" is part of the high speed train line between Paris and Amsterdam (Thalys). It was built at a depth of about 30m under the polders by means of a 15m diameter tunnel boring machine. Its length is 7.1km.
