Design & implement multiple Oracle 11g RAC clusters (11gR2 on Oracle Linux 5.6), migration of databases from 10g to 11g, & implementation of Oracle MAA (Maximum Availability Architecture - RAC, ASM, Flashback & Dataguard). Install & configure OEM, plus RMAN & datapump backups.Production support for the University administration Oracle databases. Running student systems (Student 1), Finance (Finance 1), HR (Alesco / Talent2), Research grants and some custom systems. Upgrade databases from 9i to 10g (10.2).Design and implement an Oracle RAC database cluster (Oracle 10.2 on Oracle Enterprise Linux). Replacement for ageing Sun system. Migrate all databases over to the RAC cluster. Manage re-implementation of database backups to use Oracle RMAN.Design and implement Database Disaster Recovery site, using Oracle Dataguard and remote copies of the RMAN backups. Full documentation of the above, along with basic operational menus for handover to support team.

Part of a 24x7 “follow the sun” dba support team. Supporting all of the internal databases used at Sun. These cover versions 8.0.6 thru to 9.2 of the database, Oracle Financials, Siebel, Datawarehouse, hot standby & help desk systems.
