This innovative program redefines training for U.S. microelectronics engineers, hardware designers, and manufacturing experts, ensuring the continued leadership of the United States in this critical field.As part of Dr. Peide Ye's research group, I am leading my own original project focused on exploring 2D tellurium for underwater advanced pressure sensors. In this research, I am comparing thin-film versus nanowire geometries of tellurium under extreme pressure conditions (0.2 GPa to 1.1 GPa) to determine which configuration offers optimal performance for this specialized application.

During my time at NIWC Atlantic, I:- Developed an AI system using the You Only Look Once (YOLO) Algorithm and BasicAI to identify naval mines and fish species, enhancing safety and efficiency in marine operations.- Engineered a GPS Dead Reckoning Sensor for accurate coordinate recording, contributing to advanced navigation solutions for underwater unmanned vehicles.- Modified a prototype called Spider Sense based on feedback from marines, which involved redoing wiring block diagrams and product procurement to improve usability and effectiveness. The modifications reduced the price by 30%, adding more than 10 new features to the product.- Configured a spiral acoustic wave transducer. Soldered sensors and wires to develop the prototype. Developed CAD pieces to make the prototype more functional and organized.- Designed and 3D printed an advanced external battery pack for an Underwater Unmanned Vehicle, showcasing my skills in innovation and technical design.My dedication and hard work were recognized with an Exceptional Performance Award and a Challenge Coin for my significant contributions.
