A BPO is a Broker Price Opinion (Market Analysis) and you complete these before the lender goes to sale so they know what to expect when they take the home back in Foreclosure. When they take the home back that property becomes a REO (Real Estate Owned). This was a very educational time and process for me which I credit to looking at property and neighborhoods very closely when pricing homes.
