• Research current training theory and best practice (local and international bodies and academic institutions), and communicate all findings to stakeholders.• Develop, update and implement related standards through research and communicate these to all stakeholders and ETD practitioners. This also entails the development of guidelines, instruments and tools, such as checklists used for quality assurance purposes. • Identify required or advantageous affiliations with external bodies such as service providers, universities and the like.• Provide guidance, direction, mentoring and coaching to EDT professionals in the organization regarding the implementation of standards, instruments and tools.• Quality assure all aspects of the training function and provide feedback to relevant parties. • Develop and implement a Quality Management System that adheres to INSETA requirements for accreditation, with guidance from the direct manager (Divisional Manager and SDF, Learning Management Team).• Coordinate a trainer development programme through University of Johannesburg for internal Discovery trainers (Diploma in ETDP). • Coach and support trainers during completion of their portfolios of evidence.• Generate monthly and ad hoc training statistics reports from the Learning Management System, as well as maintain courses, troubleshoot, coach trainers on the use of the system and liaise with developers regarding system requirements.
