Hi, I'm Rene Quintero, a devoted clinician and investigator with a deep-rooted passion for mental health advocacy and protective services. I thrive in dynamic environments, where I can employ my skills in crisis management, counseling, and client advocacy to make a meaningful impact on individuals and communities.I embarked on my educational journey at Lone Star College System, where I earned my Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice. Keen to further my knowledge and skills, I pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University. My academic pursuits didn’t stop there; I am currently working towards a Master of Science in Clinical Social Work at Angelo State University, expecting to graduate in 2025. My educational background has provided a solid foundation and a multifaceted perspective, essential in my professional endeavors.Professionally, I have garnered extensive experience across various roles, each contributing to my growth and proficiency in the field. My commitment to safeguarding vulnerable populations led me to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, where I diligently investigated claims of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, advocating for the rights and well-being of the elderly and children. In my current role as a Clinician at The Harris Center for Mental Health & IDD, I continue to dedicate myself to providing competency restoration services to incarcerated individuals, emphasizing individualized treatment and education. With a proven track record in mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and protective services, I am eager to continue making a positive impact in the lives of those in need. Let’s connect and explore how we can collaborate to advocate for and support our communities.
