My passion is combining animal biology and physiology with molecular and cellular biology. I have had experience in both areas, including work done with animals in a veterinary, agriculture, and wildlife setting. I also have nearly 6 years of molecular biology wet lab experience focusing on COI barcoding on local insects, cellular copper shuttling in yeast, and microRNA interaction networks in porcine granulosa cells. My thesis work investigated how microRNAs regulate oocyte development using pigs as a model. I look forward to expanding my knowledge about fertility and applying this to humans.
