I also organized and scheduled calendar items, briefs, press releases, announcements and edited guest columns and letters to the editor. Along with this I wrote weekly and monthly columns and additional articles for the Northfield News and Scene Magazine.

This is a peer learning center where student tutors work one on one with clients to teach different methods of writing techniques based on the clients needs. A few examples of topics we covered are AP Style, APA, and MLA style as well as structure and outlining essays, thesis statements, grammar and punctuation, resumes, cover letters, research projects, and critical writing.

This internship allowed me to expand on my interviewing and writing skills. I attended conferences and wrote articles that educated the public about the current issues with water pollution in the Red Cedar Watershed in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
