About Renee Erridge
These last few years, I've watched so many people struggle to stay healthy, safe, and secure — circumstances so different from mine. I met this collision of realities with embarrassment and humility… and a renewed commitment to use my strengths and advantages to give back. As a systems thinker, I find inspiration in community-wide change. I want to turn pyramids into constellations. So I use my privilege to help level the playing field and give everyone a voice. For me, it’s all about helping power holders relinquish power and helping everyone else claim that power with courage and confidence: I coach high school SPORTS to help youth succeed — on and off the court — by solving problems through cooperation. I joined the school board to help our rural district build a bilingual, transparent communication network AND design an instructional framework that’s student-first and complexity-conscious. And four years ago, inspired by Aaron Dignan, BJ Fogg, Brené Brown, and others, I left my high-paying corporate job to deeply explore the power of TEAM. Using human-centered design, on-the-job experimentation, coaching, and the intersection of adult learning & game theory, I now help companies find safe ways to create radically inspiring, people-first workplaces.As an organizational design nerd with a bend toward the future of work and a background in Fortune 100 tech, these are the big questions I’m asking and tackling:• How could we apply the concepts of game design to culture & learning?• What needs to evolve in our employee experiences to attract and retain new generations of workers?• How could we bring collaboration & contribution best practices from Web3 to Web2 companies?• What’s broken inside our working systems that is causing so much employee burnout?• How might we help leaders shift the mindsets from leader-led to worker-led in safe-to-try ways?• What happens to productivity and retention when we reduce the complexity & red tape impacting our teams?I deeply believe that no one alone is better than everyone together and am looking to partner with folks striving to create a culture of creative, motivated, and proactive employees that can and WANT to make decisions, test ideas, and deliver.
