For the past 17 years I have lived and breathed the fast paced world of recruitment! Having started with a boutique recruitment agency Madison Recruitment in its early years, I was able to watch it grow into a publicly listed company whilst I was given the opportunity to grow with it! Progressing through to a Senior Consultant role, I worked for many years across different sectors, specialising in permanent and temporary volume recruitment, delivering on many high volume projects and building strong, long lasting relationships along the way. I also spent a period of time within a newly created technical and operations team, where I gained experience and insight into this industry. In 2016, I moved across to the Internal Recruitment team at Downer, where I worked as a Senior Consultant for the next couple of years. As a Recruitment Business Partner, I was responsible for leading a team within the Infrastructure Services division and sourcing technical talent across New Zealand. I was also involved with various strategic sourcing campaigns which included off-shore recruitment drives. Moving to the sunny Bay of Plenty in 2018 meant heading back to my routes of agency recruitment, where I was lucky enough to re-connect with some old colleagues who had since set up Ryan + Alexander Consultancy in Tauranga. Here, I'm working as a generalist senior recruiter across a broad range of industries that the Bay has to offer, and thoroughly enjoying it.
