- Promoted to Senior Communications Specialist in 2011 for my track record of excellence and growth in the organization.- Advises leadership on communications priorities, strategies, and key messaging. Regularly develops and executes successful, integrated, communications and social media strategies to maximize Education Sector's impact online.- Oversees junior communications staff on day-to-day tasks and priorities, particularly as it relates to ES's web and marketing efforts.

- Develop and implement social media strategies and policies for Education Sector, including those around online crisis management. Established and maintain the organization’s growing Twitter (named a top education Twitterfeed by CBS Moneywatch.com) and Facebook presences.- Managed the complete redesign of Education Sector's website, www.educationsector.org. Established project goals, wrote project RFP and selected a vendor, led budget negotiations; managed a six person-team for project decision-making; led the successful transfer of over 100 pages of content to the new site, trained ES staff on using the new website; executed public launch of the website and ongoing marketing efforts. The project arrived within budget and was launched on time.- Led an effort to revitalize The Quick and the Ed, Education Sector’s influential education policy blog. Refreshed the look and features of the blog and developed a strategy to improve audience engagement which included building better relationships with other education bloggers. Our efforts resulted in a 50 percent increase in readership in less than one year. - Became the primary author/editor of Education Sector’s Biweekly Digest (e-newsletter with a readership of over 6,000).- Manage the daily content of Education Sector’s website and blog. Ensure consistency in page layout and branding standards; write and edit web copy for Education Sector products; and create and place graphics, video, and audio content.- Monitor and analyze the organization’s online performance. Led several survey projects to inform web and marketing development and goals.

- Led the program design, execution, and all other logistical and creative aspects of Education Sector’s highly-regarded public forums and private convenings. Ensure events meet target attendance numbers, impact goals, and arrive within budget. - Responsible for crafting and editing a variety of media and marketing communications materials including: press releases, advisories, talking points, funding proposals, and event and promotional materials.- Contributed to strategic planning, organizational branding, event/marketing protocol establishment, and communications strategy development at the start of the organization.

- Served as a principal policy assistant to the 21st Century Schools Project. Led an exploratory project and produced a white paper analyzing the state of the charter school movement and identifying areas for future study and investment.- Managed the project's many conferences and forums, including a highly successful conference on building a stronger charter school movement. - Coordinated the editorial and production process for PPI's highly regarded series of state charter school policy case studies.- Authored a regular update on charter school policy and politics for the 21st Century Schools Project Bulletin, a biweekly education reform newsletter with a readership of more than 14,000.
