At the B. Startup School I was responsible for partnership deals with corporates and startups, head of the recruitment department and guiding and coaching the students through the programme.In 2016 the B. Startup School Amsterdam – BSSA – opened its doors for 300 students as an answer to the growing demand for talent in the startup ecosystem. We noticed that there is a gap between the current education system and the industry. There are a ton of motivated and talented starters who just finished their bachelor’s or master’s degree. But the industry still considers them to be too inexperienced. With our program, we aim to bridge this gap by providing graduates the necessary skills the industry is asking for.BSSA is a collaboration of the Amsterdam Economic Board, ManpowerGroup, and B. Amsterdam.

StartupAmsterdam helps startups by showcasing, utilising and improving the benefits, strengths and assets already present in Amsterdam. The five requirements for a startup to flourish are talent, customers, content, capital and a startup-minded environment. Based on these five pillars, StartupAmsterdam has designed its action programme to boost the Amsterdam startup ecosystem. To support the international growth of startups, StartupAmsterdam continually builds strategic relations with tech clusters around the world. One way which StartupAmsterdam helps startups benefit from these international relations is by organising inbound and outbound startup bootcamps during municipal trade missions. During these intensive multiple-day bootcamps, international startups are introduced to the knowledge and connections they need to enter the Dutch market from Amsterdam. Vice versa, Amsterdam-based startups are invited to join bootcamps organised by StartupAmsterdam with local partners in cities like New York and Paris.

The Startup City Alliance Europe (SCALE) is an important step towards creating a connected European city-to-city startup ecosystem. SCALE unites 17 European startup organisations for the benefit of startups in Europe wanting to scale not only within Europe but also to other continents around the world. SCALE helps establish a transparent European startup ecosystem that enables startups to scale to foreign markets. As coordinator of SCALE I organised the first SCALE meetings in Amsterdam and Helsinki and worked on the different outcomes of the meetings.As startup liaison I provided connections within Amsterdam's startup ecosystem, communicating and coordinating between startups and the municipality.

During my period at MakerLab I organised several innovation accelerators, interviewed tons of corporate customers and managed different kind of innovation projects within corporates. MakerLab - The innovation lab of Makerstreet - creates a ‘get-it-done’ mentality by positioning the end-user at the center of every innovation or development process. This is achieved with interactive, user-centric methodologies designed to reconnect corporates with their customers at an early stage.

OnlineSeminar is market leader in interactive webinars in the Netherlands. As webinar production leader I supported the customers, was responsible for the quality of the production, the broadcast and the technical support during the webinar.
