Before becoming the proud owner of De Bierhoeder beershop & beertastings I worked in the field of conflict resolution and management. I lived in Belgrade for an internship at NGO Fractal – a think tank aimed at interethnic dialogue and capacity building – and for my Master’s degree in Human Geography. I performed research about the possibilities for private sector development in the Serbian enclaves in Kosovo. Before that I lived in Tbilisi as a research fellow at GFSIS – a think tank aimed at strategic and international studies – also for my Master’s degree in Human Geography. Here I performed research about entrepreneurship in fragile states and its use as a tool towards conflict resolution. Before all of this I have spent time in Gjakovë/Djakovica for an internship at PRO Kosova – an NGO aimed at peace and reconciliation – and for my Master’s degree in Development Issues. I performed research about the social embeddedness of return migrants and its possible effect on the development of their (post) conflict society. Additionally I have travelled through Chile and Argentina for my Bachelor’s degree in Development Issues, where I performed research in cooperation with three other students about corporate social responsibility in developing economies.Specialties: Conflict resolution, development economics, political processes, migration issues, international relations, historical backgrounds, craft beer.
