Led the effort to reduce Professional Billing Accounts Receivable for Mass General Brigham by $11.6 million in Fiscal Year 2022 through automation, training/education, and workflow efficiencies.· Created a Transplant registration and IVF Charge Review process, contributing to a reduction of Accounts Receivable by over $1.0 million for each of the department.· Improved Claim efficiency by over $9.0 million across Mass General Brigham Professional Billing.· Led Claim Processing ML Solution o Scope - Enhance revenue cycle operations through implementation of AI/ML and automation. Predict the final state of claim and automate resolution of issues, with first target being claim denial process. o Uncovered over $15M in revenue and labor savings by investigating current post-Epic claim use cases. o Developed detailed financial impact analysis which tied financial targets to operational improvement, with emphasis on prevention of revenue losses, cash flow delays, and operational expenses. o Successfully validated a 75% potential reduction in claim denials through POC with IBM data science team using AI/ML models created and tuned against MGB data.
