I have produced a radio program 45 years on WPKN, a listener-sponsored community radio station.This totally eclectic program of music and commentary called "Sometimes Classical" can be heard alternate Wednesdays from 1 PM to 4 PM on WPKN 89.5 FM and streaming live worldwide at www.wpkn.org.As Chairman of the Board from 2100-2013, I helped to revitalize the fundraising, build a more effective board, added underwriting as an income source and spearheaded the hiring of a new General Manager and an Underwriting coordinator.Currently I have become the Director of Development and hope to see the station expand its reach and rebuild the infrastructure. I headed the 2 capital campaigns to upgrade the transmitter and to move the station to new quarters and established an endowment.This is a unique station going through growing pains as the nature of broadcast media goes through major changes in technology and information delivery.
