My background is in interdisciplinary sustainability and human-nature coupled systems, which has given me a diverse background in environmental toxicology, climate sciences, political economy, regenerative and organic agriculture, and green building. I am passionate and committed to building a healthier and more equitable world by focusing on ecological resilience, environmental stewardship, community development, corporate sustainability, and addressing the health impacts of pollution. I earned my master’s degree from Humboldt State University’s Environment and Community program; my master’s thesis focused on the commodification of disease, cause-marketing, and obfuscation of the links between chronic illness and ecological contamination.Currently, I oversee the development and management of product sustainability standards at PCC, focusing on setting impactful, achievable, and science-backed standards. I also guide PCC’s advocacy work related to toxic chemicals in consumer products, and organic regulations, both through direct engagement in federal rulemaking and in collaboration with organizations such as the National Organic Coalition and the Organic Trade Association.
