Welcome to my world :)I have been passionate about numbers from a very young age. Today, I am a passionate Chartered Accountant specialising in Indirect Taxation who loves using data and numbers to solve problems. I studied in Good Shepherd Matriculation School and was a topper in maths and accountancy in grade 12. I then enrolled myself as an undergraduate at MOP Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai. Alongside I also started preparing for Chartered Accountancy course. I cleared CPT and IPCC in first attempt and CA Final in second attempt.With over 7 years of post qualification experience in indirect taxation, I have a strong reputation for tax planning, minimising credit accumulation, accelerating refunds, indirect tax advisory and compliances. In my current role as Taxation Manager, I oversee Indirect and Direct Tax compliance and litigation issues. In addition, I analyse financial information to empower informed decision making at entry levels.During my tenure as assistant manager at PwC, I have :1. Assisted companies across various sectors on indirect tax related queries which involved GST, Customs, FTP & SEZ2. Handled GST Compliances which includes, GSTR-1, GSTR 3B, vendor reconciliation, GSTR 9 & 9C, ITC-04, GST TDS & TCS, E-invoicing and Eway Bill3. Filed GST refund claims & applications before AAR & AAAR 4. Drafting reply to SCN, conducting detailed Research on Indirect Tax issues, preparation and filing of appeal before CESTAT5. Obtained EDD refund on account of SVB6. Advised on EPCG License, MEIS & SEIS scrips, duty drawback and other import and export incentives 7. Evaluating incentives available under Tamil Nadu, Karnataka & Madhya Pradesh Industrial Policy for an expansion project8. Evaluation of PLI schemes and it’s eligibility 9.
