The focus of the work was to measure the quality of relationships in schools around the UK and overseas, clarifying how these relate to both student and staff wellbeing. Our main aim was to highlight the importance of relationships to human flourishing and productivity, and thereby encourage more relational practice in organisational leadership and management.In late 2020, I was also supporting Relational Analytics - a subsidiary of RF - to apply relational thinking and research to the workplace, providing training in relational practice and measuring relational health. In seeking to market the ‘3rd stream services’ of the Business School at ARU, my role was to secure fee-income from organisations that required financial and management services support, and to develop new international partnerships.

As part of a small unit, I was initially responsible for the design and delivery of validation services for a number of large commercial education and training providers around the world. The post was almost entirely client-facing, involving extensive travel to Asia and the Middle-East, managing teams of examiners and overseeing the assessment of programmes.
