I am a Chemical Biologist, with extensive experience working with Biochemistry and Molecular Biology tools. I am deeply passionate about exploring molecular mechanisms of disease and contributing to new medicines that improve patient outcomes. I obtained a PhD in Chemical Biology from Imperial College London, working with Prof. Ed Tate. There, I used variety of experimental techniques from organic synthesis to developing biophysical assays to cloning and proteomics.Currently, as a postdoctoral fellow at the Francis Crick Institute in the lab led by Dr. Richard Treisman, I have studied signaling and regulation of PP1/Phactr and PP1/Spinophilin phosphatase complexes, explored Rho-actin signaling pathway, and worked on structural biology aspects of PolII transcriptional regulation. I have used a wide variety of chemical and biological tools to investigate research questions related to cancer, epilepsy and developmental biology.
