Experienced Director of Manufacturing OperationsRaul is a proven global Operations executive with extensive expertise in manufacturing management across diverse environments, such start-up operations along the Mexico-US border from Greenfield to fully operational capabilities, moving large-scale operations, Mexican manufacturing operations (including in-bond “maquiladoras”) and stress turnarounds in both union and non-union facilities. Raul combines strong leadership skills, lean manufacturing knowledge and an intense focus on results, as demonstrated in his previous Director of Operations and Plant Management roles. He has worked in both domestic and international arenas and has held several senior leadership roles in several manufacturing companies in US, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and Canada. His approach is based on six sigma principles, lean initiatives continuous improvement and manufacturing engineering to evolve into value stream cell manufacturing, which enables companies to achieve a high lean performance status and improving product quality. Raul's distinguished track record includes developing world class plant wide operations, successfully implementing Lean in a wide range of industries from apparel tailored clothing & sewn products, textile, paper conversion, film lamination, office products, printing industry, flexographic/serigraphy, high pressure laminates, plastics extrusion, injection molding, thermoforming, blow molding, ultrasonic welding, metal stamping and building products manufactured stone veneer, which operate diverse processes from high labor intensive consumer products to highly regulated sterilized Class 1 medical devices requiring a high level of technical skills and QA compliance. Raul holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from UAM Mexico City and Operations Management from FIT State University of New York.
