AWG is also a key player in helping communities remember their people who have lost their lives in serving the greater good of their community and the country. This is accomplished through building memorials and monuments. AWG also is recognized by the state legislature to award outstanding citizen awards for citizens who have risen above the ordinary call of duty. This acknowledgement is customarily done at our annual banquet. Today finds me serving as Adjutant General for our fine organization, which is similiar in duties to many organizations position of Secretary.

Over the past 20 plus years, as a concerned citizen and president of my state association, I have successfully passed a number of bills related to the justice system, worker safety, educational issues, certification and licensing.

As a co-director of FWCAT (law enforcement subcommittee), my duties include involving local city, county, state and federal law enforcement groups to address our community on issues related to teenage prostitution, enslavement of immigrants, and so forth. There are now a number of bills being brought forth legislatively to help address these issues and ones that I support completely and will be putting forth time to effectively lobby their passage.

The TWC committee provides educational opportunities for candidates at all levels of elections, local, county and state. The main focus is the effective use of Vote Builder campaign software and in-person small group forums to help focus candidates on both primary and general election issues that are germane to their candidacy.

Develop and coordinate committee members; formulate and implement legislative initiatives; establish meetings; outreach efforts to the community encompassed within the 30th LD.

I am a proud member of the Federal Way Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber helps its members through advertising and promotion.

Help with guest reception, handling tickets, ushering people to seats, safety for fire and other emergency elements. Trained in the proper use of emergency response and first aid techniques. Working on obtaining a Washington Bartender's License to help with beer and wine sales. This is a really great opportunity to help with the arts in Federal Way and this particular group is top notch in the professional theater offerings.

After an absence of a few years as Past President, I was re-elected as President of the Washington Freelance Shorthand Reporters Assocation, a nonprofit freelance court reporting organization composed of roughly 35 members. WFRSA is beginning to engage the Washington Court Reporting community by providing educational opportunities to better themselves for the future in our profession. I held the office of president from 2002 through 2007 and beginning once again in 2013. I am looking forward to the challenges of office.

I have held every board position except treasurer, President for 2009/2010, where I was the lead legislative advocate which culminated for mandatory education for Washington certified court reporters and the amendment to the RCW that now allows WA CCR's to not hold a notary public licensure to perform the basic duties of administering oaths and affirmations. While President-elect, I was also the lead spokesperson for successfully defeating the deregulation of the CCR certification that was brought forward the governor's office. The bill was defeated before it was read into committee. It was a stellar performance by my team.

I have been an active member in good standing of National Court Reporting Association and am currently a firm owner and individual who prescribes to the "ETHICS FIRST" code of professional conduct which is committed to providing first class service to clients and adhering to the gift giving standards as set forth by NCRA. I also was the WCRA delegate to the National Coalition of State Associations (NCSA) for calendar years 2008 through 2011.

Recently appointed to the service officer position by Commander Frank Bannister. As a life member of Post 1741, I am looking forward to working with my fellow veterans to help find assistance and guidance after their time in the military is completed. Welcome home, my brothers and sisters!

I have been a member of the VFW and it is an organization that helps our veterans with many issues after returning from combat situations. The invisible disease, Post Traumatic Stress Syndrom, is one that cripples many of our vets. In 2010, I along with my fellow Association of Washington Generals helped launch a program at Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington to help our returning vets with a place to reach out and connect in overcoming this terrible malady.

During my career at the Boeing Company, I had the great opportunity to learn different skills. While working at the Boeing Company, I enlisted into the US Army and served two overseas tours, one in Germany and a tour in Vietnam. Upon discharge, I was re-employed at the Boeing Company owing to the arrangement provided for servicemen upon discharge to have a job upon their return. I really enjoyed my work experience at Boeing where I was also a shop and safety steward.

Data input specialist. PSE was undergoing a modernization effort on its contracts department from paper documentation to all digital computerized files. I was placed in charge of the night shift accomplishing this update. I learned a lot of new information regarding computer aided transcription and set up the format standard for PSE. I also was exposed to the in's and out's of collective bargaining since PSE is a union which represents school bus drivers, janitors, etc.

I served in the US Army and did a tour in Germany with the 3rd Armored Division before being deployed to Vietnam attached to the 1st Aviation Division, 52nd Aviation Battalion in Plekieu, Vietnam, located in the Central Highlands departing in 1971 and was honorably discharged at Fort Lewis, WA. While serving my country, I was awarded the Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/Device, and other medals and recommendations.
