Lead a team of developers to create systems that support HPOne’s member acquisition and brokerage units• Designed and built time tracking module in QuickBase to interface with pre-existing ticket tracking. system, improving project tracking and time projecting. Added enhanced functionality by integrating into a MS SQL database and creating stored procedures and automated jobs to produce reporting.• Managed multiple system development projects including defining scope, timelines, and project status reporting as well as managing capacity plans, schedules and budget.• Enhanced departmental quality assurance and documentation protocols that improved feedback and reduced project delays by 20%.• Partnered with clients and project team to improve business requirements collection, validation and user acceptance testing.

Originally hired to move the company from dependence on consultants for internal IT support and software development. I came in as the sole person responsible for everything from internal user support, network administration, software development, CRM administration and support, beta customer liaison. Over the course of twelve years I built up the department from a one person group to a full department of developers, network engineer, tech support and QA.• Developed and patented the first release of the company’s electronic web-based product (ECS), a digital signage / communications system, originally written in Visual Basic and ASP with SQL database back ends (http://ip.com/pat/US7743112).• Managed development and support desk teams, created backup/recovery plans and security policies, developed vendor relationships and sourced and procured all hardware and software.• Managed transition from a consultant-based, mainframe to in-house IT support of a server based Great Plains installation and supported users, troubleshooting, report writing and external system integration.• Developed Microsoft Access database driven reporting and additional functionality integrating the Great Plains SQL databases into external shipping, order entry, tracking and company’s electronic product.• Wrote VBA routines, forms and macros within Great Plains to increase efficiency and productivity.• Developed a management system that tracked ECS installations from completion of order, fulfillment of hardware, third party installation, and technical support.

- Developed COB Savings database to import data from corporate central processing systems for data analysis and reporting- Designed and developed a COB workflow management system (WOW) to prioritize, assign and track inventory based on parameterized settings per workflow. The system provides interactivity between audit and call teams as well as real time reporting for management.Note: The COB Savings database is still being used in its orginal format today and the WOW database was adopted corporate wide and converted into a multi-million dollar tool by their corporate IT using the design schema of the original Access/SQL database version.
