My key responsibilities included consulting to users to identify requirements, design and development of infrastructure solutions for server and networks, leading implementation and rollout of projects and writing of all documentation. I was heavily involved in the use of the Microsoft Systems Centre Products suite (MSCP).- Led the design of a new Microsoft Server 2012 and Windows 7 project to replace the old 2003/09 XP Network using the MSCP products including Configuration Manager (SCCM), Systems Centre Operations Manager (SCOM), Virtual Manager Manager (SCVMM), Endpoint Protection (SCEP), Data Protection Manager (SCDPM) and Service Manager (SCSM). Built a custom SOE including automating building server and laptops through SCCM. The result was a successful migration and replacement of the network, with this server and all documentation subsequently modelled for the rest of the army.- Designed and setup a new automated failover and disaster recovery systems between Canberra, Sydney and Perth using SCDPM and Hyper-V replication and SQL. - Played a key role in identifying major issues with the disaster recovery suite for the Special Foces models in Afghanistan and led the team in identifying a fix plan which resulted in a successful migration with full data replication back to Australia. This was Australia's largest Defence Network in a remote location. The scope included all server, network, hardware and software support, security and staff support within a context of multiple security classifications and domains.- Oversaw a mission to ensure no down time in a 24/7 environment and correct replication of data within multiple databases across numerous domains. I received a bronze commendation for contribution in commanding Joint Task Force 633.- I was selected twice for deployment to Afghanistan due to my contributions to I.T. support.- Promoted to Lance Corporal prior to 2nd deployment in recognition of my command of the initial mission.
