Responsibilities -Supervision of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production lines-Implementation of lean methodology to improve process flow +Lead team in A3 problem solving events to address quality issues and aid in determining root causes +Improve quality and process flow realizing opportunities for a visually managed production atmosphere

Drive engineering improvements in all manufacturing processes, including those related to products, equipment, human interface and product quality. Interface as necessary with production employees, supervisors, engineers, management, vendors and customers to complete assignments. Seek optimum balance between process robustness, process cost and product quality.Lead, plan and direct the production support, continuous improvement, process robustness, cost savings, capital projects and Lean activities in the Manufacturing Engineering Department.Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to the production employees and supervisors, and ensure all work is performed in an expeditious, complete, cost effective manner.Oversee and prioritize all short term and long term continuous improvement and project work based upon cost, quality and delivery needs. Review the work of the manufacturing engineering team for accuracy, completeness, standardization and quality.Interface with production employees, supervisors, engineers, quality, management, suppliers and customers to develop a common understanding of needs, assess priorities and develop and implement process changes.Plan process improvements in advance, when possible, coordinating with the Production Control Department and in consideration of the manufacturing schedule to ensure economic and efficient use of material, people and manufacturing resources.Identify and order material, tooling and equipment necessary to support manufacturing operations. Recommend new equipment when justified by quality and/or cost benefits. Seek optimum balance between the value of the tooling inventory and manufacturing lead times.Lead New Product Introductions on the manufacturing floor.Perform other related duties
