I liaise with customers, suppliers and third party agents to arrange the most cost-effective and efficient movement of aircraft parts to the UK from all around the globe. I have imported everything from crew uniforms, to aircraft wheels and brake units, all the way up to entire Boeing 737s. My client relies on me to keep their fleet in the air and minimise time on the ground, and I pride myself on strong organisational skills which enable me to deliver on this.I also recently undertook a 2 month overseas placement with our Australia offices where I learned export airfreight processes. I now have an understanding of how to prepare airfreight documentation in accordance with Australian export requirements and am comfortable communicating with airlines and agents to secure cargo bookings and import arrangements in the destination countries. During the summer of 2019 I worked as a Sales Advisor at Stevensons school uniform shop in Guildford. The shop supplies uniform to a large number of state and private schools in the Surrey area. Working on the shop floor involved a 'personal shopper'-type experience, whereby I would work through the uniform list with parents to ensure they obtained all the necessary items for the beginning of term. Ever-changing COVID-19 regulations meant that the majority of the summer was consumed by a rigid schedule of one-to-one customer appointments which required effective time management and attention to detail.
