I am an Engineer in Transmission Engineering apart of the Technical Programs & Training group at Oncor Electric Delivery. I am responsible for designing & executing substation projects focused on improving and upgrading out of date or problematic assets at existing sites. I also help support several vital programs within Oncor such as Underfrequency, Distribution Automation, and Breaker Replacements, along with assisting with the FACTs Device Discipline as an Engineer Backup.The Underfrequency (UF) Program is vital as it is the last last line of defense for the electric grid and is mandated by ERCOT. I act as a Program Manager for UF to make sure all projects are executed in order to be aligned with ERCOT's guidelines. I help validate the needed collaboration between all stakeholders and support all the engineering efforts required to execute the projects.The Distribution Automation (DA) Program's strategy is to optimize the operational & reliability impacts of system-wide deployment. Oncor's consultant's mainly support the engineering efforts behind DA. My role within the program is to assist with finding solutions for projects and communicating with different stakeholders on issues where needed.The Breaker Replacement Program's role is to phase out old outdated or undesirable breakers in order to improve the reliability of the electric grid. My role is to support our consultant's as a resource engineer.
