Portland, Oregon Area

As a shipping and receiving manager I oversaw the daily incoming and outgoing of parts and materials for Metal Innovations. Using Corridor enterprise application software I tracked the use of material inventory throughout a FBO and its application to work orders. I performed weekly cycle counts of inventory in different warehouses to maintain inventory integrity throughout the company. I also planned and tracked the shipping of completed customer projects using UPS, FedEx, LTL shippers, air cargo, and generate professional packing slips for customers. As an accounting assistant I was responsible for the accounts payable mainly consisting of inputting bills into Quickbooks. I also assisted in processing payroll, the scanning and archiving of invoices and receipts, the sale of materials to customers, and the generating of sales orders through Quickbooks and Corridor.As a purchasing assistant, I acted as a back-up to the company purchaser. Duties included processing company wide order requests, contacting a variety of local and national vendors for pricing, generating purchase orders through Corridor, and following up with vendors on the shipment and back-order of items.Duties also included:-Scanning and archiving of all work orders and purchase orders-Backing up reception of a multi-line phone system and front-desk customer service as need be

Portland, Oregon Area

As a delivery driver for Arciform and Versatile Wood Products I was responsible for maintaining and using a fleet of four vehicles (including large box trucks) to deliver custom projects created in the Versatile Wood Products shop to Arciform job sites across the greater Portland area. I also worked in conjunction with lead carpenters, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and tools from a variety of local vendors and the Versatile shop to the job sites. I was also responsible for the upkeep of job sites and the removal and sorting of debris; determining what could be salvaged or donated. I also assisted the accounts payable in the retrieval and tracking of receipts and invoices accrued by the lead carpenters for their job sites. Other duties included: -tracking the use and location of all company tools-quarterly material inventory for the Versatile Wood Products shop-light building maintenance for all Acriform and Versatile buildings including trash removal, air filter replacement, and exterior building upkeep

I began working for Metal Innovations during a summer vacation as a high school student and continued to work for them after school and during breaks through college. My initial duties included updating aerospace manuals and assisting in the sanding of repair parts. As time went on my duties also included:-back-up to reception-shop cleaning-delivery driving-scanning and archiving of company files-inventory counting

While attending Clackamas Community College I was able to hold the position of Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Metal Innovations full-time. My duties during this time were to over see the receiving and delivery of parts and raw materials throughout the company. Other duties included:-overseeing and dispatching a group of three drivers to deliver and retrieve parts-generate process specific certifications for company wide tracking-oversee company wide inventory counts-act as back-up to reception and front desk as need be
