Team member of fire PSA - calculating risk assessment from fire- for an european nuclear power plant. Apart from qualitative assessment of impact of fire on different components, I was responsible for the preparation of an SQL based data analysis tool to identify sources of ignition from the plant database and several ad-hoc VBA macros to automate the process so as to reduce effort and increase efficiency of the process.

Developed a finite element framework to solve depth averaged Savage Hutter equations to model flow of granular material down an inclined plane. The code was written in Fortran and I used Python for post processing the simulation results.
