Hi! I have a decade of experience as a program and project manager in the nonprofit sector, working in K-12 education spaces to advance equitable and inclusive learning environments for all youth. I completed a Masters of Public Health in Community-Oriented Public Health Practice from the University of Washington where my research interests focused on the social determinants of health, the impacts of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), youth mental health, and how to bridge health and education sectors to better meet the growing needs of children and youth. Before graduate school, I spent five years working as a Program Manager with City Year in east San José, California where I led community engagement efforts and academic/social emotional program support services alongside students, families, teachers and district staff. I am dedicated to advancing equitable, inclusive, and quality programs and services that contribute to positive life outcomes for youth. In my current role at foundry10, I work as a Researcher supporting the Youth and Educator Social and Emotional Learning Lab where my team and I are committed to supporting positive youth development through social and emotional learning (SEL) research and research-practice partnerships. Our lab is especially interested in developing resources, evaluating programs, and designing professional learning experiences that promote individual and community healing and well-being.
