• Develop and implement necessary environmental & safety training. Some environmental & safety training, as necessary, and others as required annually (i.e., Respiratory Protection, waste disposal, AED/CPR-First-Aid, Bloodborne Pathogen, etc…).• Conduct environmental, health & safety inspections generated by facilities requests, department requests, or incident reports. Upon site inspections, then discussed concerns with responsible area manager. Also, design corrective action measures and conduct follow-up activities. • Conduct Fire Drills for all campus buildings and document such actions accordingly. Conduct Fire Marshall and Evacuation Coordinator Training and Communications Training, as necessary.• Conduct incident investigations from incident reports generated by the Campus Safety & Security Office. Follow up to determine root cause and corrective actions, if necessary.• Draft environmental and health related alerts, as needed (i.e., influenza) for distribution to the campus community.• Prepare written Environmental, Health & Safety Programs, as required by USEPA, OSHA, general campus requirements or other agencies. Work with General Counsel and Campus Environment for approval. • Investigate safety complaints, which typically are generated from faculty/staff or from Facilities’/360 system. Work with General Counsel when formal complaints are addressed to the President’s office or from outside legal counsel. Accompany OSHA inspectors upon site visit and lead the corrective action follow-up activities.• Coordinate/work with departments for annual waste pickup by retained contractor and secure payment from departments. • Oversee/coordinate Asbestos environmental surveys to identify asbestos containing materials in the specified building, schedule and oversee abatement projects.
