For nearly two decades Ms. Willingham has been advocating for the unemployed and underemployed. She is Founder & President of MenzFit, Inc – a non profit organization that changes lives, families and communities by providing professional interview clothing, career development and financial literacy services. Prior to starting the MenzFit, she served as a political appointee in the Clinton/Gore Administration at the Department of Labor, where she was responsible for community outreach and public affairs. Ms. Willingham's work experience had been in the areas of public relations and community outreach and has focused primarily on children, the senior population and military families. She recently received the Superior Service Award by the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (Omega Lambda Chapter). She is also the recipient of The Philadelphia Tribune Newspaper Leaders Award, and was recently honored as a Women of Excellence by WDAS FM radio in Philadelphia. Ms. Willingham also received the Woman of Substance & Style award from Joan Shepp retail store in Philadelphia. Additionally, she received recognition from Essence Magazine during the National Day of Service in 2012 to Honor First Lady Michelle Obama. Other honors include the Next Generation of Leaders: Rising Stars from Philadelphia City Council and the NAACP’s 100 Influential Black Women Award. In 2007, she received Bank of America's Neighborhood Excellence Award as a "local hero"​ and in 2010 the National Association of Negro Business & Professional Women’s Clubs. A native of Philadelphia, she holds a Masters Degree in Journalism/Communications from American University in Washington, DC. A Bachelor’s Degree in International Business & Public Relations from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, and is a fellow of Leadership Philadelphia Class 2011. She is also a professional image consultant specializing in self –improvement, and received her certification in New York.
