About Robert (Bob) S.

Robert (Bob) S. is a Data and AI Enthusiast at ROI CX Solutions. Colleagues describe him as "I worked for Bob in 2004-2005 in the Estimating and Design department at Cantar/Polyair (now GLI Pool Products). I knew from the outset that Bob was the type of manager who accepted only the best from his employees. Before I even got to interview for the position, I was required to pass a rigorous timed test measuring analytical thinking as well as CAD skills. This job was fast paced and very demanding, but Bob laid out clear operating procedures and production goals so that I was able to come up to speed very rapidly without constant supervision. Bob held our team highly accountable without resorting to micromanagement, and I always felt respected and appreciated in our working relationship. He also worked aggressively to remove longstanding obstacles which would have otherwise hindered our ability to perform our jobs effectively. Bob is very decisive, but we knew that he would take time to listen when we had problems or suggestions, and he always sought the input of those who would be affected when implementing process improvements. One such improvement was the development of a proprietary workflow management system which he devised on his personal time. This system - which we affectionately referred to as "Flo" - was modeled after our interdepartmental workflow. As Bob initiated process refinements, he adapted the system to reflect these refinements, ensuring that departmental procedures were clearly understood and easy to follow. Bob sets a very high standard for himself and those around him. This job was one of the most challenging positions I've held, but Bob would often take time to break the monotony and lift our spirits. He is a very considerate person who genuinely cares about the people he works with. Whenever I am faced with a challenging task, I recall my time working for Bob and draw inspiration from the lessons I learned there. I have a great respect for Bob's leadership style. He made his expectations known and gave me the latitude to build upon my strengths while challenging me to develop in other areas as well. I am sure that his future employees will have a favorable experience working with him. Timothy "Ryan" Rudzik Estimator/Designer Managed by Robert H Stevenson at Cantar/Polyair (now GLI Pool Products)" and "To whom it may concern: The purpose of this letter is to serve as a professional recommendation for Robert “Bob” Stevenson. I had the pleasure of supervising Bob while working at ADCS Incorporated. Bob’s primary responsibility was quality control for our document conversion department. This position included overseeing production for our team of eighteen employees. Bob demonstrated his effectiveness as Project Manager, as well as, excellent verbal and written skills in maintaining department standards. By creating, implementing, and managing many tools and systems he was able to turn around a failing $11M conversion project for the Department Of Defense. Perhaps Bob’s most impressive trait is that he is highly motivated and always striving to improve himself. He is highly insightful and always available to team mates. Based on my experience working with Bob I would absolutely recommend him for any position, task or undertaking. He is an expert Project Manager and without a doubt can accomplish any goal he sets his mind to. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions. Sincerely, Michael Morales Former ADCS Inc. Department Leader of CAD Services Mmorales7@gmail.com"

Dec 2022 - Present

Senior Agent, Supplier Enablement Services

Utah, United States

In this role I actively solicited B2B enrollments for the Payables Automation Initiative of THE major player in the Credit Services industry. (Translation: market capitalization of $454B). With over 1,000 weekdays worked in the service of my employer, I consistently ranked in the top 3 among our active agents with respect to enrollments, our primary KPI. In March of this year, I lead our company in enrollments, signaling that after nearly 4 years in my present position, I remained actively engaged and continued to hone my craft. However, I'm an Analyst at heart. VBA, SQL queries and pivot-tables are my "happy place", and after logging a conservative estimate of 70 thousand B2B contacts (by phone and by email), I began actively seeking an opportunity to better use my talents and suit my passions... data-driven decision making and continuous process improvement.

Sr. Case Manager / L4 Problem Resolution Specialist

Convergys / Chrysler Automotive Group

In this position I worked closely with customers and built excellent relationships with dealers for the purpose of resolving problems with Chrysler Automotive Group’s products and services. I took ownership of escalated customer complaints pertaining to repairs of vehicles priced between $20,000-$70,000. On average, 60% of my time was spent researching complaints in preparation for engagement with customers and dealers, and I maintained stellar customer satisfaction scores through active listening, empathy, and resolving problems and complaints speedily. This position also required me to utilize strong negotiation skills and practice sound business judgment when issuing credits toward resolution of customer concerns and offering goodwill to attain total customer satisfaction.

2016 - 2018 ~2 yrs

Mba Candidate / Homeschool Teacher

Stevenson Tricycle Motors

Saratoga Springs, Ut

After my previous position became a casualty of the economic downturn of 2008-2009, I set my sights on obtaining my Masters degree, during which time I assumed the role of Stay-At-Home-Dad and began homeschooling my three children. This was by far the toughest job I’ve ever undertaken.

Feb 2009 - Feb 2016

Manager, Cad Systems

Land Design Consultants

Pasadena, Ca

Land Design Consultants was a Civil Engineering firm of roughly 150 employees which used four different CAD software packages, which was proving to be problematic. I was hired to manage the adoption and implementation of a single CAD package. Successfully wrote and maintained documentation of standard operating procedures, trained existing personnel and new hires on company CAD standards, and delivered both individual and group training on new/changed features.

Sep 2005 - Feb 2009

Manager, Estimating And Design

Cantar / Polyair

Youngstown, Oh

Cantar / Polyair had deficiencies in its Estimating and Design Department and an even worse interdepartmental workflow which was greatly impacting business. As the new Manager of the department, I reduced quote turnaround time by 40% by redesigning and documenting our company’s workflow. Retrained 15 Estimators and Designers in both one-on-one and classroom settings and provided mentoring and production oversight in a fast paced environment.

Apr 2003 - Sep 2005

Project Manager, Government Contracts

Poway, Ca

ADCS was in serious risk of losing an $11M weapons and communications contract with the Department of Defense (DoD). I was hired as Project Manager to turn the CAD Department around and save the contract. Identified critical training deficiencies of existing Designers as well as seemingly countless ambiguities in the DoD CAD Standards. Addressed both with effective, ongoing instruction of 18 Designers and the Quality Assurance Department.

May 2000 - Apr 2003

Technical Trainer / Implementation Manager

Orange, Ca

Wycliffe Associates was a company of 70+ employees which had run its operations for many years on a mainframe system which was not Y2K compliant. In order to avert breakdown of many of its essential systems, I was hired to implement new systems and provide the entire staff with the required training to make the transition without productivity loss.

Jan 1999 - May 2000

Technical Trainer / Senior Software Specialist

Lodestar Systems

Claremont, Ca

Lodestar Systems was a CAD software retailer whose sales were slumping do to a lack of customer engagement. I was hired to provide on-site customer training and telephone technical support. Reestablished contact and built relationships with these alienated and mismanaged accounts, and proceeded to drive the company to the most profitable quarter in years through a highly effective direct mail campaign.

Mar 1995 - Jan 1999

Sr. Cad Drafter / Rebar Detailer

Santa Fe Springs, Ca

In this position I produced detailed rebar placing plans and material lists to CRSI standards, worked closely with structural engineers through plan check phase, and ensured effective coordination between general contractors, fabrication shop, trucking, and field personnel. In the course of detailing the reinforcing steel for several major projects, I identified a critical design flaw during the construction of Pier 301 Wharf, Port of Los Angeles and averted project downtime by providing the structural engineers with a 3D model of an alternative construction method.

Feb 1994 - Mar 1995

Cad Drafter / Plastic Injection Mold Designer

Walnut, Ca

At Fairway I worked both independently and as part of a team to design and facilitate the construction of multi-cavity tooling for the molding of numerous medical and consumer products.
