My practice of medicine is centered on empowering families with the knowledge and support they need to raise happy and healthy children.​I received my medical degree from the University of New Mexico and then complete my Pediatrics Residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. I next became a Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor within the Division of Pediatrics at UCLA. As a faculty member, I led the Pediatric Residency Program Diversity Committee, restructured the curricula and built new infrastructure to promote more diverse, equitable, and inclusive training of pediatric residents.My training spans several sectors of Pediatrics, ranging from providing mental health care and treating obesity in children and adolescents at several general pediatric clinics. I also gained substantial training in providing care to patients with eating disorders through my work at the Santa Monica Eating Disorder Program, a top center for patients suffering from these debilitating conditions. In addition I practiced as a Newborn Hospitalist at one of the largest birthing centers in the United States, Cedars Sinai Medical Center specializing in the care of healthy and complex newborns.
