Critical Systems Technician

My primary responsibility is to support all maintenance, operations, and expansion efforts, including power and cooling systems, facilities, and physical security. I provide support to all Switch facility operation teams, and I efficiently work to find innovative ways to keep facility expansions on time, and within budget. First responder when qualified and designated; Respond to power, cooling, or communication anomalies; also, out of ordinary sight, smells, and sounds. Facility management, including all critical and non-critical systems infrastructure; oversight of architectural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical (AEPM). Promote and support the creation, review, and approval of critical systems procedures; Rigorously create and maintain documentation for all new processes and procedures, while following and continuously improving existing processes and procedures. Assist in ensuring customer compliance with Switch Acceptable Use Policy. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging data center tools and technologies; attend meetings and training.
