Primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of the following two systems:1. Stock count solutionWeb front end in PHP with MSSQL back end with a mobile solution in Windows Mobile and Android. System is used to allow customers to count stock using hand held scanners and for those counts to sync back to the server for MIS reporting.2. Insurance claim systemWeb front end in ASP.NET web forms with MSSQL back end. Consumes and exposes web services (SOAP/WCF) to integrate with 3rd parties. Email monitoring to import claims via email. System is used to manage insurance claims from receipt, scoring to settlement.

My primary responsibility shifted to provide support to the finance department in the form of software support and development of a new system to automate their reconciliation processes as far as possible.The solution is built with an in house developed framework for web presentation that runs on MSSQL.My responsibilities:1. DirectTransact has a switch that is developed by ACI (www.aciworldwide.com) and called Postilion. The switch deals with network messages as applies to the payments industry like ATM withdrawals, POS purchases and the like. Build around this switch are propriety system components that run on the Windows platform and that build upon the transaction data logged in the switch. As a sideline I was approached by a friend to develop a tool, there's the tool again, to automate a part of his admin for his home based business. The tool evolved into an end to end solution for which I do enhancements and maintenance in exchange for him mowing my lawn.The solution is build in C# using VS2010 and .NET4 and was baptized "Adminator" just to keep the formalities of the 8-5 from assimilating this work of art.It deliberately lacks any form of good design patterns and visual appeal and was built for brute force and functionality alone. Just the way the client wants it.He is happy and my grass is short.
