System is used to manage insurance claims from receipt, scoring to settlement.

DirectTransact has a switch that is developed by ACI (www.aciworldwide.com) and called Postilion. The switch deals with network messages as applies to the payments industry like ATM withdrawals, POS purchases and the like. Build around this switch are propriety system components that run on the Windows platform and that build upon the transaction data logged in the switch. My responsibility during this time was to develop and maintain of these system components and provide periodic standby on it and the switch.I was the team lead on these sub systems:• Fraud Monitoring SystemSub system for the analyzing of transactions for fraudulent activity and the reporting of it.ASP.NET web front end with a Microsoft SQL Server database backend developed in C#• Card Transaction QuerySub system for the querying of transactions.ASP.NET web front end with a Microsoft SQL Server database backend developed in C#• Financial Administration – PastelA sub system revolving around Softline Pastel that produces one of the inputs into the finance teams reconciliation processes.• Transaction Back OfficeA sub system dealing primarily with settlement processing, daily and MIS reporting around the transactions that were switched.• ATM monitoring systemSub system for the monitoring of ATMs connected to the postilion switch.ASP.NET web front end with a Microsoft SQL Server database backend developed in Delphi.NETOther areas:• Research and developmentThis area most certainly is the one I enjoy the most as it forces you to think outside the box, bend the rules sometimes and allow free reign of the imagination.My responsibilities were:1. As a sideline I was approached by a friend to develop a tool, there's the tool again, to automate a part of his admin for his home based business. The tool evolved into an end to end solution for which I do enhancements and maintenance in exchange for him mowing my lawn.The solution is build in C# using VS2010 and .NET4 and was baptized "Adminator" just to keep the formalities of the 8-5 from assimilating this work of art.It deliberately lacks any form of good design patterns and visual appeal and was built for brute force and functionality alone. Just the way the client wants it.He is happy and my grass is short.
