This role is fast-paced and super exciting! I am responsible for content generation lead of reels, graphics and photos. I consistently develop and implement effective social media strategies on Facebook and Instagram to engage with our PIA Babes and drive sales. I am the communications lead for PIA, getting in touch with collaboration brands, our community and team management. Lastly, I manage PIA events and I coordinate all photoshoots and in-store events.

My role was the social media account manager and gala event coordinator for Next Wave. I would look after the digital content creation for our social media platforms, creating posts, videos and stories on Instagram and Facebook. Each week I would create around 3-5 graphics that promoted our youth festival and events. I was also in the core team that planned and executed our youth gala event! This had me communicating with different performers and guests, and I was also looking after community outreach for this event. This role required working in an extremely busy, face-paced environment that required resilience and a positive attitude. I held various responsibilities, from connecting and engaging with customers, assisting customers through menu choices and ensuring they had a memorable experience when dining with Siamese Doll. I had sales experience through this role by upselling drinks, food and speciality items of the week. I would be responsible for looking after tables of up to sixty people, ensuring they were well looked after and cared for. My duties within this role included taking care of the office, making sure it was clean, tidy and presentable for clients who came in. I would look after junior administrative roles such as filing paperwork and helping with weekly organisation tasks. I would welcome in clients and be on call if any tasks within the office needed to be completed.

I was introduced to the world of innovation and entrepreneurship through this internship opportunity at Previously Unavailable. I would sit in on client meetings, taking notes and learning about branding, current market trends and the opportunities that each venture had. I was responsible for conducting secondary market research for one of their ventures and was asked to create a report. I would be a part of ideation sessions and learn and broaden my branding and design abilities. Through this experience, I learned about the market for goods and services, understand the importance of one's value proposition, and create a strong brand identity and marketing campaign for new ventures.
