I specialize in serving underrepresented and underresourced students at the high school and post-secondary levels, and supporting classroom teachers with incorporating culturally relevant elements into classrooms and curriculum. For the past 6 years, I have done this through my work in college access and persistence. I am passionate about helping young people gain access to experiential learning, career development, and postsecondary educational opportunities, as I strongly believe that these opportunites will set them on the pathway towards multigenerational change.As a leader, I take pride in supporting my team as people first, and achieving excellent results for our scholars. Every win that we achieve means that scholars' life trajectories have been positively influenced.Finally, I am fired up in the area of Black women's health. Black women are at the top of all the wrong lists in terms of health and wellness. As a speaker, I count it an honor to motivate women to take charge of their health, to be their own strongest advocates, and to hold healthcare professionals and systems accountable to serve them with digity, accuracy, and urgency. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy singing, (almost) anything outdoors, dancing, and FOOD!
