I joined IBM in 1984 following my graduation from University. I started as a trainee network system programmer and held a variety of technical, project management and business coordination roles until in 1996, I was appointed to my first Management position. At the end of my employment with IBM, my position was that of senior “first line” Manager working in IBM’s Telecommunications group where I managed the Customer Network Design & Implementation Department. In June 1999, the IBM Global Network “connectivity” group was sold to AT&T. I was “TUPEed” across along with 600 colleagues in UK, 5000 worldwide. Since the transition, I have held a series of senior department management and Programme Management roles reporting directly to company executives in the AT&T EMEA Senior Leadership team. In July 2003 I was appointed as Director of the EMEA Country Services Operations function. This function included upto 375 employees across 30 EMEA countries.
