After 32 years of teaching, 22 in senior management I am now working as an independent training consultant specialising in school leadership & developing teams; understanding SEMH & SEND; safeguarding & Mental Health First Aid. Offering TeamTeach training and helping adults understand children's behaviour. Old Bristolians is a flourishing Rugby Club on the outskirts of Bristol. Previously my role as director of coaching was to oversee the coaching set up at both senior & junior level, covering 25 coaches and over 400 players. In developing the coaches and players to improve them as performers and maintain their commitment to the game. I am also the Clubs Safeguarding and Welfare Officer.

Engage is a national organisation of maintained and independent non maintained special schools and children's homes supporting young people with social, emotional & mental health issues.

Since September 2012 I have been Head Teacher of Sky College in Taunton. Sky College is a Somerset LA maintained special school for approximately 60 boys with Social, Emotional, Mental Health issues. Having been originally Ofsteded in February 2013 the schools leadership and management was judged as good. Having recently been re-inspected in February 2019 I am delighted that the school has been judged as good in all aspects of it's work for the second inspection running.
