Remaining here throughout my professional career has introduced several opportunities to develop specialized skills and to innovate solutions to challenges within the field of capturing product images and their metadata. These years have included collaboration with the company’s IT to design and to develop several products beginning with the SMSB Digital Database Solution (DDS). This invention helped streamline the image data capture process efficiently in ways that had not been previously possible within the industry.Promotion followed the successful launch and implementation of DDS in addition to the oversight and management of products from receipt to digital asset creation while encouraging, attaining, and managing a high level of performance from employees. Later, as Director of Image Services, navigated the ebb and flow of emerging technology and the changing landscape as products moved from warehouses and store shelves to desktops and mobile devices. In this capacity, revised and implemented new methodologies and tools in the capture and management process (including a DAM and PIM solution) of retail products within the CPG industry.Creativity and innovation within this field inspires personal and professional inspiration. Today, as VP of Digital Product Content, managing a talented staff of technicians, artists, and specialists is accomplished by implementing realistic expectations—not as a micro-manager, but in giving latitude and information that creates a balance between creativity and efficiency.
