I have taught in all four year groups of KS2, including six years in Year 6 delivering the curriculum to a high standard to a range of abilities and preparing the children for their 11+ entrance exams and transition to senior school with great success.I currently teach at a highly-regarded prep school near St Albans, Hertfordshire that received an excellent ISI inspection in 2023. Both here and in my previous role, I have lead a constantly evolving Computing curriculum. This has involved leading and communicating curriculum reviews, planning and implementing the roll out of new devices across the school, leading staff through the transition to cloud-based learning, and leading staff training on new innovations to enhance the children’s digital learning throughout the school. Excelling in this role lead to a secondment role on the SMT to research Curriculum Innovation, and then a promotion to Head of KS2.I actively engage in innovative and energetic teaching styles in my classroom practice. I know from my personal reflection and pupil assessment that I am able to ensure that the pupils I teach make excellent progress. Furthermore, I feel I have the personality and presence to make a positive impact in any school and believe that I offer a wide-ranging skill set that would enable me to fulfil a variety of key roles.
