Responsible for the management of the student internships function, ensuring that all students are supported into appropriate opportunities, managed on an on-going basis, and that all aspects of the function are compliant with legal requirements. Working closely with the Business Development Team and academic colleagues to uphold the responsibility of providing high levels of support to students and employers which contribute to the universities corporate goals.

Leading a team of staff to deliver the Department of Work & Pensions funded provision called CTF. The client group is 18-24 years and in receipt of long term Job Seekers Allowance. CTF sources 13 week work placements in the area of employment the clients wish to pursue and hosts weekly job search days in a classroom environment to improve employability for young people.Duties Include:•Monitoring the income and expenditure of the project and investigating any alarming variances in the budget.•Line managing and ensuring the welfare of staff. Completing monthly appraisals and monitoring performance.•Ensuring quality administration checks are regularly carried out internally for audit purposes.•Collating and sending monthly performance statistics to internal management, contractors and funding bodies.•Networking with organisations in the sector to ensure continuous business and sustain good working relationships.•Attending contract meetings to monitor the progress of the contract.•Recruiting staff.•Travelling and being flexible with working hours.

Working as part of a team to deliver the ESF funded provision Personal Best. Personal Best was delivered in a classroom environment and encouraged confidence and team building skills to clients of all ages that had been long term unemployed with mental health issues, learning difficulties, physical disabilities and drug & alcohol dependencies. I gained the PTLLS qualification whilst working on this provision.

Working with social services in South Kent to deliver an employment service to a caseload of clients with learning difficulties and physical disabilities. This involved sourcing work placements, paid employment and guiding the clients through the whole process with regular reviews. This position was self managed which involved monitoring the budget; invoicing, sending KPI’S and monthly reports and completing all administration duties.

Working as a Personal Adviser within a team to deliver the “Confident to Work” condition management programme in conjunction with Real Health. This involves building relationships and communication links with a large customer base made up of people on health related benefits with a view to moving from dependency on welfare and enter back into a working environment.

•Solely responsible for writing courses which then were accredited by OCN to level 1 against my own criteria.•Trained 11-18 year old students from a variety of backgrounds, including children with learning difficulties and from disengaged backgrounds, courses mentioned above to level 1 and 2 under the heading of “Street Radio”. •Trained 19 – 56 year old students, again from a variety of backgrounds including unemployed, students on benefits and students from disengaged backgrounds, courses mentioned above to level 1 and 2 under the heading of “Streets Ahead”.•Performed all general office duties and as part of the tutoring aspect of the position I also worked to achieve Targets and deadlines successfully.
